Together, we shine
Local Cancer Charity launches Sunshine Trust.
Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Trust Ltd, was established in 2013 by the Albury Wodonga Cancer Foundation to raise money for cancer services in our region.
To date, the Trust has raised over $11m, aligned to its key pillars: the Wellness Centre, research and clinical trials, staff education, and medical equipment.
Today, the Board announced its new name Sunshine Trust. It reflects the Trust’s evolution and expanded vision to provide every person diagnosed with cancer in the region to have access to high quality cancer treatment, and support services close to home and their loved ones.
“The brand launch is an important milestone for us, strengthening our position and commitment as an independent and local cancer charity. We are governed by a local board of directors who share a deep connection to the region.” Brad Robertson, Board Chair.
Enhancing its fundraising efforts, the Sunshine name captures a unique community spirit and is widely recognised through events such as the Sunshine Walk and the upcoming community event Sunshine Ride.
The refined focus aims to increase brand awareness, build donor trust, and inspire community support. Donations to Sunshine Trust continue to fully fund the Wellness Centre programs, research, clinical trials, staff education, equipment, and care supporting cancer treatment for our region.
‘Together, we shine’ is our collective effort to enhance people’s lives and make a real difference for local families impacted by cancer.
