A Day at the Races for Local Cancer Care

On Saturday 16 May, race goers flocked to the Wodonga Racing Club to partake in the Racing Wodonga Charity Gala Day in support of two very worthy causes.

Sunshine Trust was thrilled to be asked to be a beneficiary for the very first time, alongside Community Crew Albury Wodonga.

Becoming a beneficiary for the first time this year, Sunshine Trust welcomed valued supporters and guests for a day of racing, auctions, raffles and fun, headlined by Australian comedian Chris Wainhouse.

The atmosphere was wonderful as the community came together to enjoy the excitement on the elevated deck and get behind local cancer support.

Through ticket sales, live and silent auctions, and a generous donation from major sponsor Pickle Bet, Sunshine Trust was able to raise over $4,500 for local cancer services.

These funds will go directly towards supporting patients and families in our region.

Thank you to all who donated auction items, attended on the day or contributed in any way.

We are truly grateful for our community’s support and look forward to many more opportunities to work together in the future.
